Technical Working Group

Frank Perry – WSP

Focuses on developing technical strategies and V2X functionality for the OmniAir Connected Vehicle Certification program. Defines certification needs, device profiles, and templates for technical reports. Features updates on V2X standards and industry advancements.

Certification Working Group

Lauri Brady – Kapsch TrafficCom North America

Develops OmniAir certification policies and manuals, including program scope and procedures based on internationally recognized quality standards. Addresses device types, test equipment, test laboratories, and more.

Cybersecurity Working Group

Brian Romansky – ISS

Identifies security functions, use cases, and risk associations for V2X devices. Develops test specifications for evaluating security, certificates, FIPS compliance, and SCMS downloading for certification programs.

Connected Infrastructure Working Group

Nick Hegemier – DriveOhio

Aftermarket Safety Devices Working Group

Sean Maschue – Qualcomm

Applications Working Group

Tom Timcho – HNTB

Identifies security functions, use cases, and risk associations for V2X devices. Develops test specifications for evaluating security, certificates, FIPS compliance, and SCMS downloading for certification programs.

Plugfest Planning Working Group

Aaron Moore – ISS

Plans and organizes Plugfest events for product readiness testing. Defines testing schedules and evaluates draft test cases for CV2X conformance, security, and interoperability.

Tolling and Emerging Payment Technologies Working Group

Jake Royer – E‑ZPass Group

Focuses on RFID tolling certification strategies and emerging payment technologies. Develops test specifications for single- and multi-protocol tolling transponders, readers, and mobile tolling applications.

Road Usage Charge (RUC) Working Group

Stella Joseph – HNTB

Develops certification programs for trusted RUC services. Focuses on stakeholder outreach, requirements, and test specifications to ensure nationwide interoperability and a seamless customer experience.

Network V2X Working Group

Ted Sadler – WSP

The Network V2X Working Group focuses on the role of cellular networks and network services in enabling V2X communications, performance, security, and interoperability.
