OmniAir Consortium® welcomes Airspace Experience Technologies (ASX) as its newest member.

Founded in 2017 and based in Detroit, Michigan, ASX is an advanced mobility company developing technologies that connect ground transportation and aviation. Its work includes AeroNet, a web-based Common Operating Picture designed to help municipalities, airports, and infrastructure operators monitor and coordinate connected vehicles in the air and on the ground.

ASX is also developing the AeroNet EdgeNode C-V2X to support low-latency communications and active deconfliction between uncrewed aircraft. The technology applies C-V2X communications to vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure coordination, creating a direct connection between ASX’s work and OmniAir’s expertise in connected transportation, interoperability, and testing.

“ASX brings valuable expertise as we explore how connected transportation technologies can support emerging aviation applications,” said Jason Conley, executive director of OmniAir Consortium. “We look forward to working with their team to advance interoperability, testing, and trusted communications across ground and air transportation.”

ASX will play a direct role in OmniAir’s Cellular-Based Electronic Conspicuity for Aviation Working Group, chaired by Walt Fehr of ASX, bringing together industry expertise to explore cellular-based communications, interoperability, testing, and electronic conspicuity for aviation applications.

OmniAir® welcomes companies and organizations working in drones, advanced air mobility, aviation, cellular communications, and related technologies to join OmniAir and contribute their expertise to the Cellular-Based Electronic Conspicuity for Aviation Working Group.
