OmniAir Consortium ® welcomes Jeff Varick, Founder and CEO of Brandmotion, to its Board of Directors. Jeff was elected at the June 25 Board Meeting in Plymouth, Michigan.
A recognized leader in connected vehicle technology and automotive safety, Jeff brings more than 30 years of experience spanning product development, business strategy, and transportation innovation. Through Brandmotion, he has helped advance connected vehicle deployment across North America, serving as executive sponsor for more than 50 connected vehicle projects since 2016.
Many in the industry know Jeff for his work supporting groundbreaking initiatives such as the THEA Connected Vehicle Pilot, Smart Columbus, and the University of Michigan's MCity mobility research program. He is also the Founder and Chairman of the Vision Zero Automotive Network (VZAN), a nonprofit organization focused on making vehicles safer and reducing roadway fatalities.
"Jeff's experience bridges the gap between technology development and real-world deployment," said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. "His perspective will be invaluable as OmniAir continues advancing interoperability, certification, and connected transportation technologies."
Jeff has long been an advocate for collaboration across the transportation ecosystem and previously served on the SAE International Global Board of Directors.
"I've worked alongside OmniAir and its members for many years and have seen firsthand the important role the organization plays in bringing industry, government, and technology providers together," said Varick. "I'm excited to join the Board and help advance solutions that improve safety, interoperability, and the deployment of connected transportation technologies."
Jeff's election comes at a time of growing momentum for connected and automated transportation. OmniAir looks forward to benefiting from his leadership and industry expertise as the organization continues to support innovation across connected vehicles, infrastructure, tolling, and emerging mobility technologies.
