OmniAir Consortium® is issuing a call for nominations for candidates interested in serving on OmniAir’s Board of Directors.
Successful candidates will be transportation and technology leaders with a demonstrated commitment to advancing trusted and interoperable communications technologies that make our transportation networks safer, more efficient, and more secure. Areas of focus include connected vehicles, digital infrastructure, electronic toll collection, and advanced air mobility.
Candidates for leadership positions should be willing and able to dedicate the necessary time and resources to help OmniAir advance its mission.
“We are seeking leaders from government and industry, representing the diversity of our membership, who possess the requisite judgment, experience, and expertise to serve in leadership positions,” said Jason Conley, executive director of OmniAir Consortium.
OmniAir’s Board of Directors sets the strategic direction for the organization. Directors help guide OmniAir’s technical and policy work, oversee the activities of OmniAir Working Groups, and assist in organizing workshops, testing events, and webinars.
The Board of Directors meets four times per year, both in person and virtually. Directors serve three-year terms and are eligible for reelection.
There are currently four open seats on the Board. Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting on Dec. 15 in San Antonio, Texas.
Candidates must be the primary representative of an Executive Member or Sustaining Partner Member in good standing. Associate-level members interested in serving on the Board must commit to elevating their organization’s membership to Executive Member or OmniAir Sustaining Partner before the election.
Candidates are requested to submit a letter of interest and a copy of their resume or biography to the Board’s Nominating Committee, via the Executive Director, no later than 5 p.m. EST on Monday, Nov. 2.
