OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and Connected Vehicles, announced today that the SA8700A C-V2X Test System by Keysight Technologies is the first cellular-based vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) test system to earn OmniAir Qualified Test Equipment (OQTE) status.
OmniAir has certified Keysight’s C-V2X Test Solution to validate physical layer (PHY) and protocol conformance based on OmniAir Consortium’s LTE-V2X based test procedures 761, 762, and 765. Keysight’s SA8700A C-V2X Test Solution enables an OmniAir Authorized Test Laboratory (OATL) to run a combination of manual and automated test cases developed against industry standards.

The Keysight SA8700A C-V2X Test System conducts connected vehicle conformity assessment, interoperability, and field sampling for LTE-V2X road-side units (RSU), on-board units (OBU), and for OmniAir’s modem level certification testing.
OmniAir Certification for V2X devices provides assurance to automotive OEMs, Tier One suppliers, and deploying agencies that OmniAir Certified devices conform to industry standards and meet minimum performance and interoperability requirements.
OmniAir’s OQTE program assesses and qualifies test equipment, systems, and test tools used throughout the industry. Only those test systems that successfully pass OmniAir’s rigorous audit process become a qualified product and are eligible for use by an OATL for certification testing.
