At OmniAir’s October Plugfest in Northern Califonia, we had over 170 attendees, testing 37 DSRC devices from 30 different vendors from around the world. This year’s event promises to be even larger-with over 300 test sessions, extensive field testing, cybersecurity testing, and technical learning sessions throughout the week.
We are pleased at the level of commitment from our Plugfest partners for this year’s event. If your company would like to host a testing station and have exposure to dozens of devices, contact Ryan Hall by Friday, March 30.

V2X Testing – What to Expect
Bench testing at Intertek will be conducted in separate spaces allowing device makers and test providers a high level of privacy. There will be individual test sessions, group interoperability, and parallel learning sessions.
Field Testing at the American Center for Mobility’s site comes with a number of features Plugfest participants will appreciate including double overpasses, a railroad crossing, and a highway loop to test at sustained highway speeds. Testing can occur during all four seasons, day and night, in sun, rain, ice, and snow.
Do you have OmniAir Certification? If so, you still have several reasons to participate. There are a few new test procedures for you and those that are close to certification.
If this is your first or second Plugfest, OmniAir has hardened Release 1 test procedures that will help you get that much closer to certification.
