OmniAir’s Plugfest by the Bay: Connected Vehicle Workshop and Plugfest reached max capacity yesterday with nearly 150 registered participants and attendees.

Teams from 28 DSRC device manufacturers and suppliers have signed up to participate in testing. These vendors will partake in conformance, interoperability, and field testing over four days. Volunteers from nine independent test labs and test equipment providers will be on site, operating testing stations and assisting in testing.

“DSRC based V2X technology for connected and autonomous vehicles is poised to take center stage,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir. “With nearly 30 device makers participating this year, we have high expectations that many vendors will be ready to apply for OmniAir certification.”

On October 16, OmniAir will officially launch the world’s first commercial DSRC-V2X device certification program.

At that time, OmniAir will begin accepting applications for DSRC device certification, test equipment qualification, and test lab authorization from its members in good standing. Additional information will be posted on our website.
