OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, has certified Cohda Wireless's MK6 C-V2X On-Board Unit (OBU). This follows OmniAir's earlier certification of Cohda Wireless's MK6 Roadside Unit (RSU) in 2024.
Cohda launched the MK6 in late 2022 as a comprehensive vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity platform. The MK6 RSU and OBU offer DSRC, C-V2X, LTE/5G, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity as standard features, and are built on NXP® Semiconductors' RoadLink® SAF5400 and SXF1800 chipsets, along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon® Auto 5G Modem-RF Platform.
