OmniAir Consortium®, in cooperation with the North Carolina Turnpike Authority, will host a one-day workshop focused on V2X-based tolling systems and in-vehicle payment technologies.
The event will bring together leadership from tolling agencies across the United States to explore technology, policy, and operational requirements for the successful implementation of V2X tolling at scale.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, March 26, at the North Carolina Department of Transportation's airplane hangar ("The Hangar") located at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)--a unique venue that reflects the innovative spirit of the discussions to come.
Participants will have an opportunity to help shape the framework and requirements for future testing and certification programs to ensure the availability of trusted equipment and transactions.
The day will begin with expert-led panel discussions highlighting North Carolina’s ongoing pilot projects, featuring both Direct V2X and Networked and in-vehicle payment solutions.
Panelists will include representatives from the North Carolina Turnpike Authority and industry representatives from each tolling pilot.
In the afternoon, participants will take part in interactive breakout sessions, working in small groups to address key questions on standards, testing methodologies, certification requirements, and deployment challenges, followed by site visits and live demonstrations of V2X-based tolling solutions
We hope you join us for our North Carolina V2X Tolling Workshop and help shape the future of tolling innovation.
This event is open to OmniAir members and invited guests. Attendance will be limited to 50 to ensure meaningful dialogue and engagement. Register now to reserve your place.
