OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, announces that Saesol Tech has earned qualification for its S2X Tester as OmniAir Qualified Test Equipment (OQTE) for C-V2X device testing.
The S2X Tester is a V2X security credential management system (SCMS) certification and standards compliance test platform designed to evaluate interoperability among onboard units (OBUs), roadside units (RSUs), and SCMS components. In environments where an SCMS is deployed, users can verify message signing and system operations via a dedicated test station and generate detailed error reports to enable faster, more efficient testing. The S2X Tester supports a wide range of test cases across different countries, use cases, and security protocols. Its intuitive interface and control console make it easy to configure tests, analyze results, and manage data.
Verification testing was conducted by OmniAir Authorized Test Laboratories, DEKRA in Spain, and TTA in Korea, confirming that the S2X Tester meets OmniAir’s rigorous qualification standards.
“OmniAir congratulates Saesol Tech on achieving qualification for its S2X Tester,” said Jason Conley, executive director of OmniAir Consortium. “High-quality, qualified test equipment is essential to advancing a robust certification ecosystem and ensuring that connected vehicle technologies perform reliably and securely in the field.”
OmniAir Qualified Test Equipment plays a critical role in enabling consistent, trusted certification testing. These systems undergo rigorous evaluation to ensure they meet OmniAir requirements for accuracy, repeatability, and alignment with validated test cases. By using qualified test equipment such as the S2X Tester, test laboratories can deliver reliable results that support OmniAir Certification programs.
OmniAir® provides independent, third-party testing and certification for wireless communication technologies used in transportation, including RFID tolling systems and C-V2X connected vehicle technologies. Testing is conducted through a global network of accredited laboratories and authorized field-testing facilities to ensure devices meet interoperability, security, and performance requirements.
