OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, announces that the next OmniAir® Plugfest will take place in Ohio the week of November 8-12.  The OmniAir Ohio Plugfest takes place in partnership with the DriveOhio Alliance at the Ohio State University, Center for Automotive Research (CAR) in Columbus, Ohio.  “OmniAir is excited to bring its next Plugfest to the Buckeye State,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director for OmniAir Consortium. “Our Plugfest partners are proven leaders that support the development and deployment of connected vehicles and advanced mobility technology.”   OmniAir Plugfests are the premiere week-long readiness testing event for connected vehicle technologies. The Plugfest brings together leading V2X device manufacturers, test laboratories, and test systems providers worldwide for five days of interoperability, security, and performance testing in lab and field environments. 

The OmniAir/DriveOhio Connected Vehicle Technical Workshop will take place on Monday, November 8, at the Ohio Statehouse, with a reception to follow. Participation in the Technical Workshop is open to OmniAir and DriveOhio members, or by invitation only. Testing teams are invited to attend both the workshop and reception. New to this Fall’s workshop, testing participants and sponsors are invited to purchase vendor booths. Vendors will have the opportunity to meet with State legislators and end-users. Space is limited – contact Ryan Hall for more information.   


Plugfest Registration

On Tuesday, November 9, OmniAir, along with event sponsor Keysight Technologies, will host its Women in STEM event at the Center for Automotive Research. This dynamic event will be held in conjunction with the OmniAir Ohio Plugfest and will provide female undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to meet with professionals in the technology and engineering fields. Speed-networking booths are available to members interested in meeting students to discuss potential job and/or internship opportunities. Space is limited – contact Kate Oldham for more information.
