OmniAir Consortium® welcomes Illinois Tollway, as the newest OmniAir member.  As an OmniAir Sustaining Partner, Illinois Tollway will help guide the strategic direction of OmniAir’s testing and certification programs for trusted transportation technologies.

“Illinois Tollway is a recognized leader in mobility, safety, and tolling innovation,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir. “Their demonstrated leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand OmniAir’s certification programs to better serve public agencies and accelerate deployment of V2X technologies across the nation.”

The Illinois Tollway is a user-fee system that receives no state or federal fund for maintenance and operations. The agency maintains and operates 294 miles of tollways across 12 counties in Northern Illinois, serving more than 1.6 million drivers daily. The Tollway is advancing innovation, safety, and mobility in one of the nation’s most critical transportation corridors.

The Illinois Tollway has supported C-V2X pilot deployments, participated in early SCMS integration efforts, and continues to explore new approaches for real-world V2X applications. Their inclusion as a Sustaining Member strengthens OmniAir’s mission to unite public agencies and private innovators in accelerating connected mobility.
