As part of our February Speaker Series, OmniAir is hosting a technical learning webinar on the OmniAir Test Control Interface (TCIv3) on February 28.

This webinar is designed to help vendors, test laboratories, deploying agencies, and test equipment providers to understand how TCIv3 can be used to automate connected vehicle testing.

OmniAir Consotrium® is inviting Infrastructure Owner Operators (IOOs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and others in the connected vehicle space to learn about OmniAir’s Test Control Interface version 3 (TCIv3).

Hear from leading industry experts from Danlaw, Spirent, and Keysight in addition to OmniAir’s technical staff and an IOO perspective from DriveOhio.

Get answers to these and other questions:
  • What is the Test Controller Interface?
  • What are the updates from Version 2 to Version 3?
  • When will TCIv3 be used in my product’s lifecycle?
  • Why should IOOs require TCIv3 in every RFQ to protect their investment?
  • Why do test equipment providers prefer testing with OmniAir’s TCIv3?
  • How will TCIv3 save developers time and resources if implemented early on?
  • How do I access the OmniAir GitHub?
  • How to download the ASN.1 as well as support documentation?
  • How do I make changes to the ASN.1?
  • How can TCI be used in an application testing scenario?

The webinar is open to all; however, you must REGISTER ONLINE for the webinar link. The TCIv3 discussion will be held live on Monday, February 28 at 1:00 PM EST.

This is the final session in the February series of technical presentations on connected vehicle testing.

OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, announces it will host the OmniAir® Ann Arbor Plugfest, the week of May 23-27 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

OmniAir Plugfests are the premier testing event for connected vehicles, bringing together leading automotive OEMs, device manufacturers, test laboratories, and test equipment providers for a week-long testing event.

The OmniAir Ann Arbor Plugfest will be 100% in-person, with bench conformance, interoperability, security, and field testing for C-V2X radios and modules. We will also build on our V2X safety application testing peformed at last year’s OmniAir Plugfests in Ohio and Michigan.

The University of Michigan’s Mcity Test Facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan will host both bench testing at their new test laboratory, as well as field testing at Mcity’s connected and automated vehicle test environment.

“We are excited to bring OmniAir Plugfests back to the great state of Michigan,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director at OmniAir Consortium. “Mcity features state-of-the-art facilities for Connected and Automated (CAV) testing and is the perfect venue to help OmniAir and our members advance certification testing for life-saving V2X technologies.”

The primary objective of the Ann Arbor Plugfest is to collectively test devices to evaluate the readiness of C-V2X devices and test equipment based on OmniAir’s Release 1 test cases. These test cases were developed for OmniAir’s C-V2X certification program for roadside units (RSU) and onboard units (OBU). Last year OmniAir launched the world’s first comprehensive certification program for C-V2X devices.

The OmniAir Ann Arbor Plugfest will offer the following testing for conformance, interoperability, and security in both laboratory and field environments.

  • Radio Bench testing including more comprehensive overnight offering for LTE-V2X (C-V2X PC5)
  • Upper Layer Conformance and Protocol Bench Testing for OBU & RSU devices, testing against OmniAir specifications for LTE-V2X (C-V2X PC5)
  • BSM Performance & Location Accuracy Bench Testing for LTE-V2X (C-V2X PC5)
  • NTCIP 1218 SMNPv3 Evaluation Trial
  • BSM Application Drive Comparison Live Field Testing for LTE-V2X (C-V2X PC5)
  • SCMS Security Certificate Testing and Multi-source Certificate Interoperability Testing

Registration is now open! Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to reserve their space soon. Registrants may bring up to two devices for testing and testing teams of up to four persons.
Register before Friday, March 15, and enjoy a $1,000 discount by using the promotion code Earlybird at checkout!
