The OmniAir Ann Arbor Plugfest, sponsored by INTEGRITY Security Services (ISS) and hosted by the University of Michigan’s Mcity Test Facility, is coming up fast!

We are only six short weeks away from the kickoff off of the premier testing event for connected vehicle technologies. There are a limited number of testing slots available for the week-long event, featuring C-V2X radio, module, and V2X application testing in lab and field environments.

Both bench and field testing will take place at the Mcity Test Facility at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Mcity is the world’s first purpose-built proving ground for testing the performance and safety of connected and automated vehicles and technologies under controlled and realistic conditions.

Over 20 OmniAir Member vendors and organizations have already taken advantage of early registration. Please join your colleagues from Applied Information, Capgemini Engineering, Autocrypt, Cohda Wireless, Commsignia, Danlaw, DEKRA, DriveOhio, GM, Harman, ISS, Kapsch, Keysight, Marben, Qualcomm, Rohde & Schwarz, Spoke, SSTECH, Wayties, WSP, and Yunex Traffic.

Organizations participating in OmniAir Plugfests are committed to bringing interoperable C-V2X devices to the market, and advancing the deployment and adoption of critical V2X safety applications. Particpating vendors have the opportunity for collaborative, hands-on testing with leading test laboratories, test equipment providers, and V2X experts from around the world.

“We are thrilled to bring OmniAir Plugfest back to the great state of Michigan,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “With a strong and growing demand for connected mobility solutions, OmniAir Plugfests help to ensure that V2X devices and applications are interoperable, secure, and conform to industry standards.”

In addition to five days of testing, we will have several events for invited DOT officials and other VIPs, on Wednesday, May 25, including:

  • Tours of Mcity Test Facility
  • Briefing and tours of OmniAir testing
  • Live technology demonstrations
  • Panel discussion on V2X testing and reception

If you are a registered participant in the Plugfest and would like to be part of the demonstration, please contact Ryan Hall, Vice President of Business Development, for consideration.

Space for testing and demonstrations is limited, and we can only accommodate a few more C-V2X devices and testing participants. Registration ends at the close of business Friday, May 13.
