OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association for interoperability and certification in ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, announces that the Iteris V2X Connect™ has earned OmniAir Qualified Test Equipment status.
This achievement by Iteris highlights the system’s capability to enhance Connected Vehicle (CV) applications through its advanced diagnostic tools. V2X Connect™ can effectively capture and analyze over-the-air (OTA) network traffic, offering real-time and offline analysis via its mobile application. This helps traffic management agencies and systems integrators efficiently deploy connected vehicle applications.
“Iteris’ work on the V2X Connect™ test system sets a new benchmark in the industry,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir. “This test system can benefit test laboratories, infrastructure owners/operators (IOOs), and the wider industry, making it easier to test and verify connected vehicle devices are transmitting and receiving secure, trusted messages in the field.”
The tool supports a wide range of CV messages crucial for enhancing safety and mobility, including signal phase and timing, geographic information, traveler messages, and pedestrian safety messages. V2X Connect™ ensures compliance with SAE, IEEE, and CTI standards for seamless interoperability across systems.

OmniAir Authorizes Florida Track for Tolling Testing
OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, is pleased to announce our fifth OmniAir Authorized Field Test Site (OAFTS).
Kapsch TrafficCom North America sponsored the authorization of SunTrax in Auburndale, Florida, for field-level device certification for single—and multi-protocol RFID tags and readers. The audit conducted by OmniAir® was witnessed by DEKRA, an OmniAir Authorized Test Laboratory based in Sterling, Virginia, and E-ZPass representatives.
As the demand for advanced transportation solutions grows, SunTrax will provide invaluable opportunities for vendors and device manufacturers to conduct field testing under OmniAir’s rigorous certification program. The addition of this site signifies OmniAir’s commitment to fostering innovation and providing robust testing environments for single and multi-protocol RFID devices.
“Today marks a significant milestone for OmniAir as we expand our footprint into Florida,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir. “This state-of-the-art facility expands the consortium’s global network, enhancing the resources available for tolling and connected vehicle testing, and will enhance our members’ capabilities to meet the evolving demands of the tolling sector.”
“By leveraging SunTrax, we can ensure our technologies are rigorously tested and meet the market demands,” said Lauri Brady, Vice President of Business Development at Kapsch TrafficCom North America. “This advances our product development and enhances our collaborations with other industry stakeholders, ultimately leading to improved service for toll operators and drivers alike.”
