OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification, welcomes our newest member Chungwha Telecom. Headquartered in Taipei City, they are the largest telecommunications provider in Taiwan and the leading domestic and international fixed communication, mobile communication, broadband, and internet service provider.

Chungwha Telecom Laboratories has been tasked by Taiwan’s Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) with developing a PKI security framework for Taiwan’s C-V2X connected vehicle programs.

“We are excited to have a recognized leader in telecommunications technology like Chungwha Telecom as an OmniAir® member,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “This will help to advance our vision for offering truly global certification solutions for connected vehicles.”

In June, OmniAir signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Taiwan Telematics Industry Association (TTIA)to collaborate on developing certification programs for Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific Region.

Chungwha Telecom joins a growing number of OmniAir members from Taiwan, including ECOLUX, FETC, Int’l, HwaCom Systems, Inc., SPORTON Labs, TUV Rheinland Taiwan, and the Vehicle Safety Certification Center.
