OmniAir cordially invites V2X deploying agencies, government officials, and decision-makers to better understand our comprehensive C-V2X readiness and certifications programs. We will provide a unique opportunity for VIP guests to glimpse behind the Plugfest testing curtain to achieve this goal. The morning starts with a buyers presentation by Mary Lynn Buonarosa, Project Manager of the Human Factors Division of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). She will present on the ATCMTD Smart Intersections project and provide details on the project, its technology needs, and expectations moving forward to help drive C-V2X technology advancement. VIPs will be given a tour of the Mcity Test Facility and see how OmniAir tests new technologies in a safe, controlled environment, which is essential before deploying any connected and automated vehicle technology on public streets, roads, and highways. OmniAir staff and representatives from test laboratories, test equipment providers, device makers, deploying agencies, and C-V2X implementors will be on hand to answer technical questions about their role OmniAir certification testing and its importance to the industry. This tour will take guests to the restricted bench testing area and see application testing in the field environment. There will also be C-V2X demonstrations. One of particular importance focuses on vulnerable road users that showcase bicycle-to-vehicle interactions—Commsignia, Spoke, and Audi will host this demo. If you would like to attend the VIP Day or know of someone who should not miss it, please contact Ryan Hall, Vice President of Business Development, at rhall@omniair.org for consideration.-
