OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles announces that wireless testing industry veteran Mick Conley has joined the staff as Director of Technology Programs and Policies.

Mick will help to manage OmniAir’s technical program of work and will oversee policies and procedures that govern OmniAir’s certification services, including laboratory authorizations, test equipment qualifications, and device certifications.

A veteran of the testing and certification programs for the wireless industry, Mick joins OmniAir directly from Spirent Communications, and before that with UL, where, as a volunteer member, he helped to organize the first OmniAir Plugfest in 2017 and assisted in the development of OmniAir’s Connected Vehicle Conformity Assessment program.

Mick will utilize his technical expertise and industry experience in support of OmniAir’s various technical working groups and Plugfest testing events.

“We are very pleased to welcome Mick Conley, a recognized experienced industry expert to the OmniAir team,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “Mick will help to strengthen OmniAir’s testing and certification programs, ensuring that OmniAir Certified® devices are trusted by deployers of ITS and connected mobility technologies.”

OmniAir offers independent, third-party testing and certification through a network of accredited laboratories, using qualified test systems and validated test cases.  We offer testing and certification programs for RFID tolling tags and readers, and V2X radios and modules, including certification for LTE-V2X on board units and roadside equipment.
