OmniAir Consortium® has extended its deadline for nominations for candidates interested in serving on OmniAir’s Board of Directors until Friday, November 8 at 5 pm EST.
OmniAir® is a global trade association and certification body, representing a broad cross-section of the transportation technology community. OmniAir’s membership include infrastructure owner-operators, automotive OEMs, V2X and tolling technology vendors, test laboratories, test equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, SCMS/PKI providers, cybersecurity experts, and research institutions.
Candidates for leadership positions must be willing and able to dedicate the necessary time and resources to help OmniAir advance its mission to promote certification and interoperability for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles.
“We are seeking leaders from government and industry, representing the diversity of our membership, who possess the requisite judgement, experience, and expertise to serve in leadership positions,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “Candidates should be committed to building trust in transportation technologies through independent, third-party testing and certification.”
OmniAir Directors set the strategic direction for the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times per year, both in-person and virtually. Directors serve a term of three years and are eligible to stand for reelection.
There are currently four open seats on the Board. Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting on December 3.
Candidates must be the “primary representative” of an Executive Member or Sustaining Partner Member in good standing. For Associate level members interested in serving on the Board, that member must commit to elevating his or her organization’s membership to “Executive” or “OmniAir Sustaining Partner” prior to election.
Candidates are requested to submit a letter of interest, and a copy of their resume and or biography to the Nominating Committee of the Board, via the Executive Director no later than 5 pm EST on Friday, November 4.
