OmniAir Consortium®, in partnership with the Security Credential Management System Manager (SCMS), is proud to host the OmniAir Michigan Plugfest, October 6–10, at the American Center for Mobility (ACM) in Ypsilanti, Michigan, just outside of Detroit.

OmniAir Plugfests are the premier testing events for connected vehicle technologies, bringing together automotive OEMs, device manufacturers, test labs, and equipment providers from around the world for a week of rigorous testing in both lab and field environments.

This year’s Plugfest will focus on security and interoperability, ensuring that C-V2X devices—including onboard units (OBUs), roadside units (RSUs), and modules—are deployment-ready and meet the needs of states, cities, and counties rolling out V2X technologies.

Testing will take place at ACM’s world-class proving grounds, a 500-acre facility with diverse driving scenarios, including urban arterials, highway loops, tunnels, roundabouts, and off-road areas. This variety enables thorough testing of connected vehicle technologies in realistic conditions.

Event Schedule

  • October 5 – Optional early setup for testing teams
  • October 6–9 – Bench and field testing
  • October 10 – Demonstrations and Connected Mobility Technical Workshop

“As we return to Michigan for this year’s Plugfest, our partnership with the SCMS Manager represents a significant step toward advancing secure credentialing in V2X deployments,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “This collaboration supports our mission to ensure trusted, interoperable connected vehicle technologies are ready for deployment across public roadways.”

OmniAir welcomes device manufacturers, MNOs, vehicle OEMs, test labs, equipment providers, engineering firms, deploying agencies, and academic institutions to participate. Space is limited.
