OmniAir Consortium will host the 2nd OmniAir Florida Plugfest in May. The week-long testing event, hosted in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s ITS Joint Program Office, will take place at the SunTrax test facility in Auburndale, Florida, May 7-16.
OmniAir Plugfests are the premiere testing event for connected vehicles, bringing together automotive OEMs, device manufacturers, test laboratories, and test equipment providers from around the world for a week of testing in laboratory and field environments.
This year, OmniAir is combining its Plugfest with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s interoperability testing for states, cities, and counties deploying vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technologies.
By combining the two events, OmniAir offers participating testing teams the opportunity to test for standards conformance & interoperability in real-world operational environments. The goal is to ensure the readiness for connected vehicles and infrastructure safety technologies for deployment.
Testing will take place at the SunTrax testing facility in Auburndale, Florida. Developed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), SunTrax is a 475-acre, state-of-the-art test facility dedicated to the research, development and testing of emerging transportation technologies in safe and controlled environments.

OmniAir is inviting testing teams from device manufacturers, mobile network operators, vehicle OEMs, test laboratories, test equipment providers, engineering firms, academic institutions and deploying agencies to register for testing. Space is limited.
