OmniAir Consortium® is pleased to announce that our next V2X testing event, the “OmniAir Texas Plugfest” is scheduled for October 22-26 in College Station, Texas.
This week-long event will be hosted by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute at Texas A&M University. The event will take place at RELLIS Campus-with state-of-the-art laboratory and field testing facilities.
OmniAir® Plugfests provide an opportunity for V2X device manufacturers, considering applying for OmniAir Certification, to assess their readiness for certification.
Registration is closed.
Like earlier OmniAir® V2X Plugfests, the OmniAir Texas Plugfest will feature a Connected Vehicle Workshop on the first day (Monday, October 22), with expert panels discussing technical and policy issues, with a networking reception. Speaking and sponsorship opportunities are available.
With an increasing number of state and local DOTs planning operational deployments of V2I solutions, the OmniAir Texas Plugfest will have a special emphasis on testing of RSUs for conformance and interoperability. Government officials interested in deploying V2I technology are highly encouraged to attend and learn firsthand about the value of OmniAir certification to their projects.
Even vendors that are close to certification or have already earned OmniAir certification are strongly encouraged to attend, to experience new tests. Changes include SAE J2945.1 V-V BSMs, Minimum Performance Message Interoperability, high precision location-based testing and SCMS Testing. OmniAir has hardened Release 1 test procedures that will help you get your device closer to certification including IEEE 802.11p Physical Layer, IEEE 1609.2 Security/Certificates, IEEE 1609.3 Network (including WSA), and IEEE 1609.4 Multi-Channel Operations.
