On February 26, OmniAir Consortium®, in cooperation with Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE) and Connected CarTalk DC, will host an event to help illuminate these issues: “Preserving the 5.9 GHz Safety Spectrum: A Roundtable Discussion on the spectrum needs for Connected Vehicles and ITS safety applications.

The event will feature a presentation from Diana Furchtgott-Roth, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology, U.S. Department of Transportation, on continuing USDOT efforts to preserve the 5.9 GHz wireless communications spectrum for transportation services.

This will be followed by a roundtable discussion from leading experts in ITS and vehicle connectivity.
