OmniAir Consortium® has submitted comprehensive comments in support of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s DRAFT National V2X Deployment Plan, which set ambitious goals to expedite the nationwide deployment of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology.
“OmniAir® applauds the Department of Transportation for developing a comprehensive plan to accelerate nationwide deployment of lifesaving connected vehicle and infrastructure technologies,” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “The Plan sets ambitious but achievable goals and recognizes the importance of interoperability and certification in the nationwide deployment of V2X. OmniAir looks forward to working with the Department and the transportation community to advance our shared goal of accelerating V2X deployment.”
In October, the Department of Transportation published a DRAFT plan, “Saving Lives with Connectivity: A Plan to Accelerate V2X Deployment.” The Department invited comments from transportation stakeholders, with a deadline of January 31.
