OmniAir Consortium® is now offering certification for C-V2X modules.

This new program expands OmniAir’s existing certification programs for OBUs and RSUs to include C-V2X (LTE-V2X PC5) radio modules.

OmniAir® will offer certification for both pure radio and functional modules, demonstrating conformance with relevant industry standards.

Last week, OmniAir’s Board of Directors approved the 759-OA-TSS&TP-Module test document. This newly approved test document supplements the existing 751-OA-CVMCPv1.0 program scope for module certification.

The availability of OmniAir Certified® modules for use in automotive supply chains and connected infrastructure projects will help to build trust across the connected vehicle ecosystem.

“We are pleased to offer our members more options for certification, and V2X deployers more market choice for certified products” said Jason Conley, Executive Director of OmniAir Consortium. “OmniAir is committed to meeting the evolving testing and certification needs of the marketplace.”

As part of this expansion, OmniAir is introducing a lower application fee structure for the C-V2X module certification program. For a limited time, the application fee for module certification will be less than 50% of the application fee for C-V2X OBUs and RSUs.
