The OmniAir Plugfest at Mcity is hosted in partnership with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) the week of May 13-17, 2024. Mcity is the world’s first purpose-built proving ground for testing the performance and safety of connected vehicles and technologies under controlled and realistic conditions.

OmniAir Plugfests are the premiere testing event for connected vehicles, bringing together leading C-V2X device manufacturers, automotive OEMs, test equipment providers, and test laboratories from around the world. 

This week-long event will feature:

  • V2X interoperability and conformance testing
  • Field performance testing
  • Security / SCMS interoperability testing
  • Safety applications and use V2X case testing
  • Connected Mobility Symposium
  • Technology demonstrations and tours

OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, announces speakers for the OmniAir Connected Mobility Seminar on Wednesday, November 8th in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Keynote speakers will include senior leaders of Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation & Communications and Ministry of Digital Affairs, with a special welcome from the Mayor of New Taipei City!

This one-day seminar, hosted in conjunction with OmniAir Taipei Plugfest, will bring together leading government and industry experts from around the world to discuss advances in connected and automated vehicle research, testing, and deployments.  

OmniAir is partnering with the Taiwan Telematics Industry Association (TTIA) in organizing a joint event that will feature leading ITS and connected mobility experts from around the world, with a special emphasis on the rapid advances for connected and automated vehicles in Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region.

OmniAir and TTIA will jointly host a one-day Connected Mobility Seminar, featuring leading officials and experts from government, industry and academia. Keynote presentations, plenary sessions, and breakout technical sessions will offer attendees an opportunity for learning and technical knowledge exchange.

The Connected Mobility Seminar will take place on Wednesday, November 8, at the Golden Tulip Fab (conference hotel) Hotel’s Grand Ballroom.

Attendees will be invited to participate in technical tours, live technology demonstrations, and an evening networking reception.

OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and certification for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, is issuing a call for speakers for the OmniAir Connected Mobility Seminar on November 8 in Taipei.

This seminar, hosted in partnership with the Taiwan Telematics Industry Association (TTIA), will bring together leading technical experts and policymakers from around the world to discuss advances in connected vehicle research, testing, and deployments. 

Those interested in presenting should submit abstracts and expressions of interest in speaking by October 1.

The seminar is hosted with OmniAir Taipei Plugfest, a week-long testing event for connected vehicle technologies. We are interested in presentations but are not limited to the topics listed below: 

  • Connected vehicle testing and certification around the world.
  • C-V2X and 5G MEC transport projects in Asia-Pacific region.
  • C-V2X for bicyclists, pedestrians, and other vulnerable road users.
  • Cybersecurity vulnerabilities & solutions in a connected world.
  • Global standards development & harmonization.
  • Regulatory environment for connected vehicles: challenges and opportunities.
  • Global harmonization of testing, assessment and validation of AI in transportation.
  • Exploring the intersection of tolling and connected vehicles.

This in-person workshop will address key technical and policy issues on Wednesday, November 8, in the grand ballroom of the Golden Tulip Fab Hotel. The workshop will also feature live C-V2X technology demonstrations and an opportunity for hands-on learning about C-V2X technology. Guided tours of the C-V2X testing facility and field-testing sites will be offered to interested parties.
